Ronnie, as many family and friends knew he was a mechanic and just loved to tinker with everything and could build anything. Ron had a love for sports, once playing baseball with his brothers and buddies on his dad's team, Ray's Raiders. He was known and loved and his absence will be felt by everyone. Ron graduated from Whitewright High School, worked for Texas Instruments, and then later worked in Recycling.
He is survived by wife, Terri Rice of Orangeville; daughter, Misty Stone and husband Mike of Savoy; son, Ronnie Rice of Whitewright; brothers, Randy Rice and wife Theresa of Trenton, Rick Rice and wife Natalie of Rowlett; sister, Rhonda Williams and husband Larry of Savoy; mother, Joyce Rice of Trenton; grandchildren, Lindsey and Jonathon Stone, and Makayla Caloway; aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Donnie Slaughter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Rice; daughter, Miranda Caloway and son-in-law, Bryan Caloway; grandparents, Millard and Vivian Mullens.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Brother Chris Merritt. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Rice, Jonathon Stone, Gerald Todd, Riley Smith, Joe Garza, Dusty Spencer, Chris Jones, and Casey Fisher.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
