Ector -- In a final tune-up before District 22-1A gets underway later this week, the Ector Eagles flew past Fannindel for a 38-point win.

Ector had a double-digit lead at the end of the first quarter, 17-7, and the Eagles were comfortably in control, 35-13, at halftime. Ector finished strong to post a 71-33 victory.

Austin Earl hit three triples and finished with a game-high 15 points. Ryan Wilder went a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line and had 13 points.

Ethan Norwood and Garen Norwood were also in double figures, with 11 points and 10 points, respectively.

Timmy Ayers and Andrew Groneck both put up eight points, Noel Cannaday contributed four points and Adi Pandey tossed in two points.

Ector opens district play on Friday, January 13 at Tioga.

District 22-1A is comprised of Dodd City, Ector, Garland Alpha Charter, Irving Universal Academy, Savoy and Tioga.
