Ector -- In the final tune-up before District 22-1A begins December 12, the Ector Eagles moved to 20-6 on the season with a 39-point win over the Sherman Grayson Christian Falcons.

The Eagles built a 17-5 lead in the first period and then poured in 26 points in the second quarter to take a 43-21 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Ector had the hot hand in the third period, as well, scoring 27 points to go up 70-36 entering the fourth quarter. The Eagles added six points to their lead down the stretch to post an 83-44 win.

Ector's Austin Earl led all scorers with 23 points and Deviaire Patterson was close behind with 21 points. Garen Norwood was also in double digits with 14 points.

Noel Cannaday knocked down nine points, Kyrin Beach put up five points, Joey Grijalva finished with four points, Franklyn Reed and Beau Collins both threw in three points and Kenny Nelms netted a free throw.

Mike Rivera led Sherman Grayson Christian with 10 points, while Glenn, Jeffrey, Lovell and Harrington all scored six. Sutton and Durhan each dropped in four points, while Webster tossed in two points.

The Ector Eagles will host Tioga on Friday to open district play.
