McKinney celebrates Independence Day with Red, White and BOOM!

McKinney -- Join us for the annual Red, White, and BOOM! celebration on July 4. Independence Day kicks off in historic downtown McKinney at 10:00 a.m. with a hometown parade, as well as a classic car, truck and cycle show and a block party right after the parade until 2:00 p.m.

Downtown parking information - FYI DASH will not be running on July 4.

Evening festivities resume at 5:30 p.m. at the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch, 6375 Collin McKinney Pkwy., with music, food, kids' activities and more. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy live entertainment by the band Blacktop Mojo.

The fireworks show will be choreographed to the “Sounds of America” by WRR and simulcast live on Classical 101.1.

Residents may also pick up a Parks Bingo playing board during evening activities at Craig Ranch and receive a stamp towards their bingo!
