Sherman, Texas -- Texoma Community Center is excited to announce the opening of the adolescent outpatient substance use treatment program.  This program will be open to all adolescents ages 13-17 years old residing in Cooke, Fannin, and Grayson counties.

Treatment services will be provided at the TCC main campus at 315 W. McLain, Sherman, TX 75092 in the newly renovated NE wing of the building.

Program Director, Kristi Gourd, states, “This is a much needed program that has been lacking in our community for far too long.  We anticipate development of collaborative relationships with each of our school districts, as well as community supervision departments. We look forward to providing an outstanding array of treatment and support services.”

The adolescent program team will consist of:  Amber Denney, LPC-Program Manager; Anna Arrington, LCDC-Program Counselor; Clayton Jech, LPC-Program Counselor; and Ashley Hall-administrative assistant. In addition to providing treatment for adolescents, families and supportive allies will be invited to participate as research proves treating the whole family is most effective.

In addition to treatment services, the program will feature sober socialization activities; a creative arts program; transportation services; and additional testing services for clients served.

We invite our community to come tour the facility and meet the team at our open house scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at 315 W. McLain, Sherman, TX.

For additional information or to submit referrals to the program please contact Amber Denney at or call 903.357.2262.  Visit our website for more information on all substance use treatment services, or to apply to volunteer in any of the programs provided at Texoma Community Center.
