Bonham, Texas -- Funeral service for Christopher "Chris" Bryan Spann, 44, of Bailey, Texas will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Telephone Baptist Church.  Bro. Glynn Tyson will officiate. Eulogy will be given by Chaplain Henry Hammons. Interment will follow at Bigbee Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Chris passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at is home surrounded by his loving family.

Christopher Bryan Spann was born in Dallas, TX on July 30, 1974 to Bill Spann and Sheila (Moore) Courtney. He married the love of his life Anne Marie Cheney on March 18, 2016. Chris loved everything that was family oriented. His hobbies included anything that allowed him to treasure the little things in life.

Chris was a very creative, strong minded and strong-willed man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gunsmithing, traditional bow making, archery, video games, and riding the back roads. He was a hard worker at Encore Wire for 18 years and had a great reputation with his coworkers and friends.

Chris was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bailey. Those that knew him loved him and those that didnít would have. He will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memories are wife of the home Anne Marie (Cheney) Spann, daughters Amberly Spann Jeffrey and husband Adam of Whitesboro, TX; Autum Spann of Whitesboro, TX; Katelyn Gardner of Kaufman, TX; sons Christopher A. Spann of Oak Hill, FL; Evan Akins of Terrell, TX; and William Gardner of Terrell, TX; 8 grandchildren; father Bill Spann and wife Donna of Telephone, TX; mother Sheila Courtney and husband Johnny of Winnsboro, TX; sisters Cyndi Spann Lauterbach and husband Tyson of Bailey, TX; Briane Hall; and brother Darrin Jones of Telephone, TX.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Olin and Mary Spann and maternal grandparents Marshall "Cotton" Moore and Ellie Moore.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell Stephens, JR Stephens, Josh Kersey, Mikell Taylor, Tyson Lauterbach and Kerry Stockton. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Hasten, John Moore, Micah Latimer, Steve Humphery, Tyler Welch, Christopher Spann, Evan Akins, Will Gardner, Adam Jeffrey, and Darrin Jones.
