Quinlan -- The Wolfe City wolves clinched the District 6-2A championship with a 48-0 shellacking of Boles and it didn't take long to get the party started because Tim Wright took the opening kickoff and sprinted 74 yards to pay dirt.

The Wolves led 14-0 at the first buzzer and built a 28-0 cushion by halftime. Wolfe City scored twice in the third quarter to take a 41-0 lead into the final period and tacked on a late TD for a 48-0 win on the road.

Dylan Wilson averaged almost 18 yards per carry to finish the night with 196 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.

On a night that saw Wolfe City amass almost 400 yards on the ground, Logan Green also rushed for a pair of TDs, with Jaren Brummit and Amarien Jones running for one touchdown apiece. Cody Smith picked up yardage at 11 yards a clip, with 66 yards on six carries.

The Wolfe City defense turned in equally impressive numbers, only allowing Boles to gain 29 yards of total offense.

The Wolves will close out district competition November 9 when Wolfe City hosts Como-Pickton.
