Sherman -- Texoma Genealogy Group invites you to join us for “Show and Tell,” November 14, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Sherman Parks and Recreation facility (1002 N. Music St).

Show and Tell is one of our most popular programs because everyone participates. It’s a time for us to show everyone some of our treasures, whether it’s a grandmother’s cookbook, family Bible, photographs, or family tree discovery. We’ve had anything
from a daughter’s stories and items of her father in the Bataan Death March, to a grandmother’s quilt, to photographs that prove a family story. You’re welcome to just come and listen. It’s like storytelling except with props. It’s always enlightening,
educational and fun!

Susan Kusterbeck, Genealogy Librarian at McKinney Public Library, will also visit with us. The McKinney Library is proudly expanding their Genealogy base. She will let us know the scope of their collections and how we can utilize their resources for
our research.

Texoma Genealogy Group was formed to give anyone with an interest in finding their ancestors access to a group of like minded people. We have beginners to researchers with decades of experience in our group and welcome all. You’ll find the group welcoming and helpful.

Information about our group, meetings, forms, and handouts can be found at www.texomagenealogygroup.org. For more information, contact Cindy Barnhart, 512-293-4398 or cbarnhart50@gmail.com. Or, contact Carol Beck, 903-893-4000 or carolsbeck@yahoo.com.
