THE BONHAM CITY COUNCIL WILL BE MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF

REGULAR MEETING

 

DATE OF MEETING:    February 11, 2019

TIME OF MEETING:    5:30 P.M. Regular Meeting          

LOCATION OF MEETING:  Bonham City Hall 514 Chestnut

Bonham, Texas

 

REGULAR MEETING AGENDA

Call to Order

 

1.         Consider and take action to approve minutes of the January 14th regular meeting.

 

2.         Consider and take action to accept financial report for month ending January 31, 2019.        

 

3.         Citizens Opportunity to Speak:  [The City Council invites persons with comments or observations to briefly address the Council for the limited purpose of determining whether the matter should be referred to staff for study and response and/or be placed on a future meeting agenda.  State law prohibits the City Council from considering deliberations on any item not listed on the posted City Council Agenda.]

 

4.         Presentation of plaque to Employee of the Month for January.

 

5.         Hold public hearing and consider and take action on an ordinance designating angular, head in parking on certain blocks of the Downtown Area.

 

6.         Consider and take action on a resolution extending our appreciation to TxDOT for making roadways ADA compliant.

 

7.         Consider and take action to approve an order calling for a general election to be held on May 4, 2019 to elect Council members from Ward Nos. 2, 3 and 4.

 

8.         Consider and take action on the following items related to the May 4, 2019 City of Bonham General Election:

            a)  Appoint election judge and alternate and designate these individuals as the Early Voting Ballot Board.

            b)  Appoint the City Secretary as the Early Voting Clerk.

            c)  Designate two days for extended hour early voting from 7:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m.

            d)  Designate the Bonham City Hall, 514 Chestnut St, as the polling place for both early voting and Election Day voting.

 

9.         Consider and take action on a Special Use Permit at 108 E Sam Rayburn to allow residence in upstairs area. 

 

10.       Consider and take action on a Special Use Permit at 905 N Center St to change from Commercial to residential use.

 

11.       Consider and take action on a Special Use Permit at 915 N Center St to change from commercial to residential use.

 

12.       Consider and take action on nominations of new members to serve on the HARC committee.

 

13.       Adjourn
