Paris, Texas -- Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that FM 100 in Fannin County, at the intersection with US 82, will be closed from 5:00 p.m. today until 6:00 a.m. March 2 for bridge work.

Austin Bridge & Road Services LP crews will set girders for the FM 100 bridge during this time period, officials said. A signed detour will direct traffic around this temporary closure.

Prior to the closure, the outside land shoulder of the US 82 west-bound exit ramp will be closed from 10th Street to FM 100, officials added.

This project is part of the current expansion of US 82 from two lanes to a four-lane divided highway with a depressed median, from one-half mile west of State Highway 121 in Bonham, Texas, eastward to six-tenths of a mile east of State Highway 56 in Honey Grove, Texas.

Motorists who regularly travel along this portion of US 82 in Fannin County are asked to pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
