Fannin County, Texas -- On June 15, 2024, the Fannin County Amateur Radio Club will have their regular monthly meeting at Bois d'Arc Creek Cowboy Church in Edhube. The meeting will start at 9:00 a.m. with a focus on Field Day 2024 preparations. The public is invited.

The FCARC will be at Bois d’Arc Creek Cowboy Church for the Field Day activities for June 22-23, 2024. The public is welcome to see ‘hams’ in operation as we make
contacts with other Field Day operations. We will have three operators “working the airwaves” for contacts.

Watch for more information on the Facebook page, and in the news.

An additional meeting with surrounding county emergency personnel and first responders is scheduled for June 22, to discuss how the club can better assist
emergency communications in situations. The past few months have had numerous events impacting the communities: the Eclipse in April, several severe weather incidents and other communications issues where there is no cellular coverage.
