REGULAR MEETING AGENDA
Call to Order
1. Consider and take action to approve minutes of the May 13th regular meeting and the May 20th special meeting.
2. Consider and take action to accept financial report for month ending May 31, 2024.
3. Citizens Opportunity to Speak: [The City Council invites persons with comments or observations to briefly address the Council for the limited purpose of determining whether the matter should be referred to staff for study and response and/or be placed on a future meeting agenda. Local practice limits comments to three (3) minutes or less. State law prohibits the City Council from considering deliberations on any item not listed on the posted City Council Agenda.]
4. Presentation of plaque to Employee of the Quarter.
5. Presentation of life saving award by Chief Hawkes.
6. Hold public hearing regarding the City of Bonham 2024 Water Conservation and Water Resource and Emergency Management Plan.
7. Consider and take action on the approval of LOGIC Investment Pool as an authorized investment.
8. Consider and take action on the approval of amending resolution to updated authorized representatives for TexStar.
9. Consider and take action to adopt a Public Improvement District (PID) Policy and establish guidelines and criteria.
10. Consider and take action to ratify and authorize the Bonham Economic Development Corporation to enter into a Performance Agreement with CONTRERAS & PORTO RE INVESTMENTS, LLC.
11. Consider and take action to appoint or re-appoint individuals to the following boards and commissions:
a) Planning and Zoning Commission
b) Texoma Area Para-transit Board of Directors
c) Tri-County Senior Nutrition Project, Inc. – Meals on Wheels
d) Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals
e) Bonham Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors
12. Recess into closed executive session for attorney client consultation to seek legal advice on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter as it relates to ETJ litigation in Cause No. D-1-GN-23-007785, City of Grand Prairie et al v. State of
Texas and current contracts with Fannin County, Texas including but not limited to the Interlocal Contract for Ambulance Services, and as permitted by Texas Government Code §551.071(2).
13. Reconvene in open public session and take action on items discussed in closed session including but not limited to renewal or termination of Interlocal Contract for Ambulance Services.
14. Consider and take action on Resolution concerning Petition for Release of an Area from a Municipality’s Extraterritorial Jurisdiction filed by Horizon Business Park, LLC concerning 10.275 acres (Fannin CAD Property ID:78055)
15. Adjourn
