Bonham, Texas -- The City of Bonham is re-establishing the Heritage Architectural Review Committee (HARC). Be a part of preserving and honoring the rich historical architecture of Bonham through partnership and collaboration by joining the Heritage Architectural Review Committee!

This committee reviews proposals and plans for new development, rehabilitation, remodel, and changes/upgrades within the Heritage District Architectural Overlay.

All members will serve at the will of the City Council and will not be appointed for specific terms. Letters of interest must be received via email or to Bonham City Hall no later than 5:00 p.m. July 11, 2024.

The Committee is required to consist of five members to be recommended by the Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission, with such recommendations presented to the Bonham City Council for approval; however, the City Council may reject any or all of such recommendations and appoint a person or persons who they want to serve on the HARC, as long as the committee consist of the following members:

- Two members from the Planning and Zoning Commission. One P&Z member shall serve as the Chair of HARC, appointed by the City Council.

- Three members from BUSINESS or PROPERTY OWNERS located WITHIN the boundary of the Architectural Overlay.

- All members of HARC MUST be residents of the City of Bonham. Please note that any member, who no longer meets any of the above criteria, shall no longer be eligible to serve and must resign immediately.
