Sherman, Texas — June 21, 2024 — A minor fire broke out earlier this afternoon at the construction site of GlobalWafers America on FM 1417. Thanks to the swift response of our construction crew, safety personal, and local firefighters, the flames were promptly contained and extinguished. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the damage was minimal.  Workers were sent home but they will resume work tomorrow.

As we enter the scorching Texas summer, events such as this should serve as a stark reminder that outdoor activities, especially those that may generate sparks, must be approached with extreme caution and only be conducted with proper safety protocols and plans in place.
