Anna, Texas -- On Friday, July 12, community members gathered in Anna for the Service and Leadership Symposium, a day dedicated to discovering volunteer opportunities and making a difference. The event kicked off with breakfast at 9:00 a.m., followed by a warm welcome from Olivia Demings, our Community Enhancement Coordinator.

Keynote speaker Corina Sadler, CVA Texas Commissioner and OneStar Foundation Manager from the City of Plano, inspired attendees with her insights on being a service-focused leader in Collin County. Local leaders Rolanda Macharia, President and Founder of L.I.F.T. R&R, and Michael Garrett, CEO and Founder of Trusted World, shared how their organizations are positively impacting our area and how volunteers can get involved.

The symposium concluded with a meaningful service project at Grace Place Food Pantry, where participants put their newfound knowledge into action. It was a fantastic day of learning, sharing, and serving our community. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making a difference!
