Frisco, Texas -- Onmi PGA Frisco is excited to invite barbecue enthusiasts and food lovers to a one-of-a-kind Texas-style barbecue experience at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. This limited-capacity event will offer guests an opportunity to learn from the Ice House pitmaster and chef team.
Ice House is thrilled to announce an exclusive event for barbecue enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with their choice of an alcoholic or nonalcoholic cocktail, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary experience.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness the operation of Ice House’s outdoor offset smoker and the new indoor smoker. Our expert team will guide guests through the intricacies of Ice House’s renowned brisket, starting with a live demonstration on how to trim a Texas-style brisket for smoking.
The session will delve into the essential details of the smoking process, covering critical aspects such as temperature control, timing, wrapping and resting. Additionally, a tutorial on slicing brisket will be provided, highlighting the differences between moist and lean cuts (point and flat).
Guests will also enjoy the chance to sample brisket fresh off the smoker, accompanied by three distinct styles of barbecue sauce, including Ice House’s signature Dr. Pepper sauce. The presentation will conclude with an engaging Q&A session with Ice House’s pitmaster and chef team, offering insights and answering any questions attendees may have.
To further enhance the experience, guests will receive priority seating at Ice House if they choose to stay for lunch. As a special takeaway, each guest will be gifted a bottle of our signature barbecue sauce.
