REGULAR MEETING

REGULAR MEETING AGENDA
Call to Order
1. Consider and take action to approve minutes of the August 12th regular meeting and the August 20th special meeting.
2. Consider and take action to accept the financial report for the month ending August 31, 2024.
3. Citizens Opportunity to Speak: [The City Council invites persons with comments or observations to briefly address the Council for the limited purpose of determining whether the matter should be referred to staff for study and response and/or be placed on a future meeting agenda. Local practice limits comments to three (3) minutes or less. State law prohibits the City Council
from considering deliberations on any item not listed on the posted City Council Agenda.]
4. Presentation of plaque to Employee of the Quarter.
5. Presentation of Proclamation for Bois D’Arc Festival.
6. Hold public hearing and consider and take action on an ordinance adopting the fiscal year 2024-2025 operating budget for the City of Bonham.
7. Hold public hearing and consider and take action on an ordinance setting the 2024 Tax Rate on a first reading.
8. Consider and take action to authorize staff to advertise for bids for the elevated and ground storage tank rehabilitation project.
9. Consider and take action to approve budget amendments for the fiscal year ending on September
30, 2024.
10. Consider and take action to approve a contingent fee contract with Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins and Mott, LLP pursuant to Section 6.30 of the Texas Property Tax Code, said contract being for the collection of delinquent government receivables owed to City of Bonham and notice of said contract is posted with the agenda in accordance with Section 2254 of the Government Code.
11. Consider and take action to adopt the revised City of Bonham personnel policy.
12. Consider and take action to appoint individuals to the Heritage Architectural Review Committee.
13. Consider and take action to approve a new Storage Unit Lease Agreement for Jones Field Airport.
14. Discuss and provide staff direction on rental rates and policies related to the Fannin County Multipurpose Complex.
15. Recess into closed executive session to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property as permitted by Texas Government Code §551.072.
16. Reconvene in open public session and take possible action on the matter discussed during closed session.
17. Adjourn
In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, the City Council reserves the right to convene in Executive Session, as deemed necessary, to seek legal advice from its
attorney on any item identified in this agenda, as permitted by law, or to consult with its attorney about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers or any matter in which the duty of the attorney to the City Council under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
The Bonham City Council hereby expresses its intention of considering, deliberating, and taking action on any item listed on this agenda unless specifically stated otherwise.
