Bonham, Texas -- Creative Arts Center in Bonham was the place to be Thursday night when Watusi took the stage to kick off the Music in the Garden free concert series. A large crowd filled the garden as Jimi "Watusi" Towry treated his hometown to a performance that felt like a homecoming with a reggae soundtrack.
On this night Towry had plenty of help from Brad Silwood on saxophone, Kenny Withrow, guitarist for The New Bohemians, and a half-dozen audience members on bongos and tambourine.
Creative Arts Center Music in the Garden concert series will continue Thursday, September 26 with Curtis Atkison and The Fiddes Family.
In addition to being an excellent musician, Curtis owns Fret Not Music Shop here in Bonham.
