“Shanna in a Dress combines witty, heartfelt songwriting with great musicianship guaranteed to deliver a memorable experience for anyone lucky enough to hear her. From the incredibly moving ‘Daddy’s Little Girl’ to the super funny ‘Mmm That’s Hot’ she hits home on every level taking her listeners on a delightful roller coaster ride of laughter, tears and everything in between.” ~ Steve Seskin, Grammy-nominated songwriter

Fannin County, Texas -- Hi, Musical Friends!  We ( Hosts, Faye & Scott) want to introduce you to one of Nashville's "rising stars"!  Our experience with Shanna was when we attended Joseph Leavell's 80th Birthday Party for himself.  Luckily, we were invited to attend, and Joseph told us before we met Shanna that he could not have made it through the COVID lockdown period without being able to watch Shanna online at home.  When we met her before her concert, she was like a bottle of sparkling champagne.  She brought a fresh energy into Joseph's house filled with guests.  She snacked on salad, while others gorged on pizza and fantastic birthday cupcakes provided by Teresa, one of Joseph's friends. Shanna made it a point to get to know her audience before her gig started.

Joseph gave her a brief intro, but then she began telling us a bit about herself.  It amazed us that she had biked cross country from Seattle to Boston with a group, carrying her guitar and giving mini-gigs to those she met. What an adventure that must have been!  More about Shanna below . . .

You are invited to Harmony House Concerts on Sunday, October 27. '24, 3-5 pm, so you too can experience her humor, candor, and enthusiasm about life, brought to you through her storytelling and songwriting talents. Be ready for some belly-laughs and contemplative music!

Harmony House is located about 10 miles north of Bonham, TX, and about 65 miles NE of the Dallas metroplex.  It is a reclaimed vintage home moved onto a lovely natural landscape --- a mixture of wooded areas and meadows (not quite a restored prairie yet, but that's a future goal!)  Concerts are held inside in a spacious living room and dining room filled with ambiance.  In fact, we use the entire house for a house concert.  If you are coming for the first time and worried that you won't know anyone, put that thought away, as all our guests are welcoming and warm.  The atmosphere is casual and informal.  To learn more about us, visit http://www.wildscapeacres.com/ or go to Harmony House Concerts Group on Facebook.

Shanna will play two 45 -minute sets with a break of 30 minutes between sets, so folks can shop her merch, meet and greet other attendees, fill up a plate with yummy treats, or get another cuppa Joe, go explore the great outdoors, or visit the Necessary Room.  Guests can visit this at any time during the performance between songs. We (Faye & Scott) will provide bottomless cups of coffee, refreshing tea punches, and well water (no chemicals).  We also will provide snacks such as assorted cheeses, crackers, nuts, etc.  However, guests are requested to bring a finger food of some kind  to share on tables located in the dining room and master bedroom.  We ask that you bring your own serving pieces but we'll have extras in case you forget.  You can take home anything you bring, as our refrigeration is limited
