Georgetown, Texas -- William J. "Bill" Chapman Jr. of Georgetown, Texas, a successful business owner, civic leader, family man and beloved partner passed away October 15, 2024 at the age of 66.

Known by many as an exceptionally kind and generous man he choose to be a positive influence to those he encountered both in business and socially.

Born in Cambridge England, June 9, 1958, he spent his formative years in varies countries around the world before coming to the US with his family at 14 and living in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated high school.

Recruited for a special assignment with the US Air force right out of high school, his distinguished service included being recognized as Airman of the quarter and special training which launched his professional career and paved the way for his future business ownership in the computer/technology industry.

Bill was active in the communities in which he lived including several years on the Planning and Zoning Committee and two terms as City Councilmen in Bonham, Texas prior to moving to Central Texas and eventually residing in Georgetown. Bill owned a business in Plano, Bonham, Georgetown and Leander, Texas.

Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Chapman; parents William J. Chapman Sr. and Jean E. Chapman; and brothers Glen and Scott Chapman. Bill is survived by three children, Grant, Diana and Audrey; four grandchildren; as well as his life partner, Judy Moore.

In honor of Bill’s wishes, no public or formal services will be planned. Friends and family are encouraged to gather as they choose doing activities that they enjoyed with Bill during his lifetime. This was his desire for others as a way to celebrate his life.
