Austin College Wind Symphony to perform A Night at the Movies!

Sherman, Texas — The Austin College Wind Symphony will perform selections for A Night at the Movies!, to be held in Sid Richardson Center on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, with free popcorn and drinks!

 

The Austin College Wind Symphony, led by Director of Bands Dr. Ash Glenn, brings together students across departments, community members, and alumni to perform high-caliber wind and percussion music. The ensemble maintains a diverse repertoire of both classical and contemporary works, frequently collaborating with other campus programs to create dynamic mixed-media performances.

 

 

Musical selections, with accompanying video clips from their respective movies, will include:

 

  • Main Title to The Incredibles
  • Music from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
  • Mambo from West Side Story
  • Godzilla Eats Las Vegas
  • and a surprise interactive encore!
