Young hero had taken the McKinney Fire Department’s babysitter class the day before the incident
McKinney, Texas (Nov 18, 2024) – The McKinney Fire Department invites you to attend as they honor a remarkable young hero, 12-year-old Auri Agramont. Auri attended the Fire Department's Babysitter Club class on Saturday, Nov. 2, and just one day later saved her younger sister from choking by applying the first-aid skills she learned in the course.
Auri told her mother, “I just remembered and acted very calmly.”

MFD sponsors the class and teaches fire safety, baby and child CPR, and basic first aid.
