Trenton honor grads

Kayla Kidwell was honored with being named Valedictorian of the class of 2007 at Trenton High School.  Rebecca Hines named Salutatorian.
 
Kayla Kidwell is the daughter of Tim and Kathy Kidwell; granddaughter of Raymond and Lois Jordan, and Grady and Mahonna Kidwell.  She had a four year average of 102.7778.  Kayla was a member of the UIL Accounting Team for four years.  The team won first place all four years at the State Meet in Austin.  She placed individually first, two seconds, and a fourth in four years.

Kayla made the A honor roll for four years while also having perfect attendance while in high school. She was elected to Who’s Who Among High School Students.  She received classroom awards in English I, English II, English III, Health, Accounting, Algebra I, Algebra II, World History, IPC, and Chemistry.  Kayla plans to attend Texas A&M University-Commerce next fall and major in Accounting.
 
Rebecca Hines was named Salutatorian of 2007.  She is the daughter of John and Brenda Hines; granddaughter of Lee and Kathey Walker, and Travis and Jan Hines, and the late Judith Hines.  Rebecca had a four year average of 100.3200.  She participated in basketball for four years where she was selected team captain for two years.  She was named to the all district team one year.  The Lady Tigers were defeated in the regional quarterfinalist her senior year. 

Rebecca ran cross country for four years qualifying for the regional meet four years and the state meet for one year.  She was selected team MVP all four years.  Rebecca ran track for four years qualifying for the regional meet for three years.  She also participated in volleyball, golf and tennis.

Rebecca also participated in cheerleading for four years and was an All American nominee for three years.  Miss Hines was also selected to the Who’s Who Among High School Athletes/Students.  She made the A honor roll for four years while having perfect attendance while in high school. 

Rebecca plans to attend the University of North Texas next fall and major in Interdisciplinary Studies.
