3rd annual event slated for Sunday, May 22, at Dallas' Wyndham Anatole Hotel

The 2005 Park Place Dealerships Texas Rangers Triple Play will be held on Sunday evening, May 22 at The Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Featuring the entire Texas Rangers team and staff, this is a unique opportunity for fans to personally meet their favorite players. Park Place Dealerships is serving as the title sponsor of the event for the third consecutive year.

“The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation is grateful to Park Place Dealerships and the Texas Rangers players and coaches for their participation in making the Park Place Dealerships Triple Play gala a resounding success,” commented Norm Lyons, Vice President of Community/Player Relations. “The net proceeds from this event allows the Foundation to continue its impact on the youth and families of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.”

Mark and Leigh Teixeira, along with Josh and Dana Lewin, will serve as Honorary Co-Chairs. This unique evening has Rangers players and their wives competing in several of America’s favorite TV game shows, including "The Match Game," "Family Feud" and "Jeopardy." In addition, there will be a fabulous dinner, and a Live and Silent auction with sports memorabilia and travel packages such as:
* Fly to Seattle on the Texas Rangers' Team Plane, accommodations for 2 at the team hotel, transportation to and from the game on the coaches bus, on-field passes to watch batting practice, VIP seating, lunch with Mark Teixeira, and authentic Rangers hats and jerseys
* A Toby Keith autographed guitar, plus 2 tickets to his 2006 DFW show with special "meet & greet" passes
* Spring Training '06 Trip to Surprise, Arizona with airfare for 4, accommodations for 3 nights at Wigwam Resort & Golf Club, tickets to Spring Training games with the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at one of the games.

Individual tickets are $250 each, and are available by calling 817-273-5207. A limited number of corporate sponsorships are also available.

Conceived by Texas Rangers television announcer Josh Lewin, the event has raised more than $130,000 for the Texas Ranger Baseball Foundation. Established in 1991, the Foundation helps build homes for families through Habitat for Humanity as well as constructing youth baseball parks in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It has also created many youth incentive programs such as the Wells Fargo/Texas Rangers Rookie League, and has provided financial aid to over 150 students to further their education through college scholarship programs.
