And now the pageantry begins at the Fannin County Fair.
The 2005 Fannin County Fair Little Miss crown came to rest on Megan Brooke Edwards. Friday night the fair will feature the Princess contest, with the Duchess coming up at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and the Fannin County Fair Queen competition beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Megan, 7, goes to school in Bonham and her parents are Kyle and Gina Edwards.
First runner-up was Kellie Breanne Connelly, 7, of Trenton. Kellie's parents are Brad and Melanie Connelly of Trenton.
Second runner-up went to Madison Sacca, daughter of Chris and Christy Sacco.
In all, 13 contestants entertained the Little Miss crowd and the Fannin County Fair Thursday night.
