The stars come out at night and that will be particularly true in Bonham Saturday night, February 25 when the Main Street Players present "Star Search."
If you like singing, boy, have they got a note for you. If dancing is your thing, these guys can shake a leg. From Spanish dance routines to piano solos, from solo singers to a rock band called Stutter and the Time-Traveling Russians, this talent search features a little bit of everything. Suppposedly, a group calling themselves Johnny and the Diseases may show up unless they call in sick. Cloggers, twirlers and the junior varsity cheerleaders fill out the bill as 17 Bonham High School entertainers compete for three cash prizes.
Bonham High School Theater Arts Director Jason Brown and BHS Principal Glynn Walker realize that every student needs to be part of some school-sponsored activities and for some very creative talent, this may just be the stage they need to develop a number of skills. So, plan on stopping by the auditorium just south of L.H. Rather at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening to watch these young performers try out their wings. You might even get to watch one or two fly.
Ticket price: $2.00 student, $3.00 adults
