Grayson County Sheriff's Office makes numerous drug arrests

On July 12, 2006 Investigators from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle traveling north on highway 91 near Denison.
The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and the driver identified as Norman Wayne O’Neal a 42-year-old male from Denison. O’Neal was recently released from Texas Department of Correction’s on parole. O’Neal originally had two charges for Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance which he received five years. During the traffic stop O’Neal dropped a “meth pipe” which deputies discovered. O’Neal was searched and found to be in possession of several grams of methamphetamine. O'Neal was arrested and taken to the Grayson County Jail where his bond was set at $5,000.00. Oneal was released on bond the next day.
On July 13, 2006 the narcotic unit from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search and arrest warrant on Dale Street in Tom Bean, Texas.
The warrant was based on information that the narcotics unit had received concerning Judy Dodson Brown a 66-year old-nurse from Tom Bean. Brown was arrested at her home Thursday afternoon for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. Judy Brown
Brown refused to speak with investigators and was later transported to the Grayson County Jail where her bond was set at $100,000.00.
Narcotic Investigators had information that Brown was attempting to introduce illegal narcotics into the Grayson County Jail via the United States Mail. This mail was intercepted and the illegal substance was found giving Investigators cause to obtain the search and arrest warrant.
It was alleged that Brown was attempting to get the illegal substance to her grandson, Bobby Lee Murphy.
Murphy is in the Grayson County Jail on charges of Attempted Capitol Murder of a Police Officer among other charges.Bobby Lee Murphy
When Investigators searched Brown’s home they found sixty three (63) bottles of medication and three (3) vials of liquid substance. The sixty three (63) bottles of medication appeared to be prescribed to numerous patients from a hospital located in Fannin County.
Brown could face numerous other charges from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Postal Inspector.
Brown has been released on the $100,000.00 bond.
On July 18, 2006 the narcotics unit executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Woodlake road between Sherman and Denison.
Arrested at the scene was Scott Shackleford, 52-year-old male from Sherman. Shackleford was in possession of approximately $1,100.00 worth of methamphetamine and a set of scales. Shackleford also had two (2) outstanding felony warrants from Sherman Police Department for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Credit Card Abuse. While narcotic officers were at the scene a second vehicle arrived with two subjects inside. One of the subjects, Christopher Berry, a 31-year-old Pottsboro resident, exited his vehicle and approached the residence. When he saw the deputies, he began to run but was caught and detained. Berry was in possession of a controlled substance which tested positive for methamphetamine. He was arrested for Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at 10,000.00 plus numerous Sherman Police Department warrants which made the total $18,000.00.Christopher Berry
Sitting in Berry’s vehicle was another man, 26-year-old Leonard, Texas resident Brandon Woods. Mr. Woods was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was arrested and taken to the Grayson County Jail where his bond was set at $5,000.00.Brandon Woods
All three men are still in the Grayson County Jail at this time.
On July 20, 2006 narcotics officer from the Sheriff’s Office conducted a search and arrest warrant on a home in the 100 block of Hopper road just outside of Tom Bean, Texas.
During the execution of the warrant officers arrested Jalene Christopher a 45-year-old female from Whitewright, Texas who is on Parole from the Texas Department of Corrections. She was sentenced to ten years and served just less than one year before being released on Parole. She was in possession of several grams of methamphetamine, scales, baggies for packaging meth, meth pipes and other drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Grayson County Jail where her bond was set at $5,000.00. She was arrested for Possession of A Controlled Substance 4-200 grams. Jalene Christopher
Gary Reppond, a 50-year-old man from Whitewright who lives at the residence as well, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and bond was set at $5,000.00.Gary Reppond
Reppond was released today on bond.
Jalene Christopher still remains incarcerated.
