Mr. Sisson was born on June 29, 1934 in Clayton, Oklahoma, the son of George Walter Sisson and Nola Verna Jackson.  His family arrived in Fannin County in 1942.  He married Ruby Mae Simer in Honey Grove, Texas on September 14, 1952. 

The Sissons raised their children in Welch, Texas and Ravenna, Texas and are long time members of the Church of Christ, Mr. Sisson having served as deacon.  They currently have been attending the Midway Church of Christ in Bonham, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby, of Ravenna; his stepmother, Irene Davis of Stamford, Texas, his sisters, Thelma Brown of Bonham, Laverne Jackson of Byers, Texas, Shirley Fisk of Pasadena, Texas, Linda Hensler of Abilene, Texas, and Kay Blake of Amarillo, Texas; his brothers, Jackie of Haltom City, Texas, Daniel of Lubbock, Texas, Lynn of Arlington, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Surviving children are: Patricia and husband Kenneth St. John of Ravenna, Wayne and wife Judy of Brownfield, Texas, Danny and friend Stacy Webb of Addison, Texas, and Gary and wife Debbie of Bonham.

Grandchildren are:  Aimee (St. John) and husband Christopher Twist of Las Vegas, Nevada, Danielle (St. John) and husband Bill Davis of Denton, Texas, Kyle Sisson of Ropesville, Texas, Kerry Sisson of Brownfield, Texas, Bobby Jack “B.J.” Sisson and wife Tammy of Welch, Texas, Joshua Sisson and wife Heather of Clovis, New Mexico, Spencer and Dakota Sisson of Princeton, Texas, Aubri Sisson and friend Nicholas Long of Richardson, Texas, and Aaron Sisson and wife Tracy of Lubbock, Texas. 

Great-grandchildren are:  Lauryn and Shelby Twist of Las Vegas, Nevada, Hunter, McKayla and Austin Sisson of Welch, Texas, Ethan Long of Richardson, Texas and James Wampler of Lubbock, Texas.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22nd, 2006 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Fannin County, Texas.
