Sand Creek Post & Beam of Wayne, Nebraska is excited to bring traditional wood barns and outbuildings to the countryside.  Built with the heritage of timber frame construction, and to conserve the look and feel of the old world style craft, Sand Creek Post & Beam barn kits offer an affordable alternative.

“I've always been fascinated with barns.  Once moving onto an acreage, I had a chance to have one of my own.  I looked into moving an old barn, but the opportunities were limited and there is a lot more involved than I anticipated.  Throughout my research on the subject I came across the option of a kit barn” says Tom Beutler of Nebraska.

I had a 22' one and a half story Nebraska barn (from Sand Creek Post & Beam) with a 12' lean-to on each side built last winter.  Now I have all the nostalgia of an old barn in a new building!  It adds so much more character to my acreage than a sterile metal building.  The boys in the band also love the acoustics.”

Sand Creek Post & Beam barn kits utilize authentic designs and full dimension, massive, native ponderosa pine posts and beams to bring the knotty, rustic authentic feel of an old barn to life.  The barns may be sealed, stained, or painted to blend with current buildings or to replicate a barn of yesteryear such as an old family barn. From your dream to the materials on your doorstep is approximately 60-90 days.  Sand Creek Post & Beam prides itself on using native timbers and local craftsman to provide the excellence and quality of a traditional barn.

Sand Creek Post & Beam barn kits are available in four basic styles with numerous options to fit a variety of needs such as a basic barn, horse barn, workshop, garage, or storage.  From a beautiful prairie carriage house, regional styled barn, horse barn, or massive gambrel, choices range from a one story, story and one half, and lean-to options.  Each barn kit includes a walk in door and handcrafted windows.  Optional features that add architectural details and further enhance the barn include lofts, stairways, cupolas, dormers, transom windows, sliding doors, garage doors, flower boxes, and weathervanes.

“Building a beautiful countryside, while preserving our heritage is an exciting opportunity in this day and age.  Many of us have fond memories of playing in a hayloft or the quiet peacefulness of a barn and we’re pleased to be able to bring that tradition back to life” says Len Dickinson, owner, along with his wife Jule Goeller.  Sand Creek Post & Beam was founded by the husband and wife team when they moved to an old family farm and saw the need for beautiful, traditional barns at an affordable price.
