City of Bonham employees welcomed new Bonham City Manager Corby Alexander by hosting a reception Thursday, April 26.

Elected officials from the city and county stopped by Bonham City Hall to visit with Mr. Alexander.  Area residents also took advantage of the opportunity to get to know the new city manager.

Alexander, 32, comes to Bonham after serving as the city manager in Jefferson, Texas.  Jefferson, the county seat of Marion County, is a popular East Texas tourist destination.

His first day on duty at Bonham was April 16 and Alexander sees many similarities between the two cities.

"We are going to enjoy Bonham," Alexander remarked.

Corby Alexander grew up in Henderson, Texas.  He attended Texas A&M University where Alexander received his Bachelor degree in political science and his Masters in public administration.
