All is quiet in the arena now.

The signs are in place and only a few final preparations remain to be wrapped up before Wednesday night's opening ceremonies of the 52nd annual Kueckelhan Ranch Rodeo.

The stunning Cowgirl Chicks, a high-speed drill team, methodically make sure everything will be ready for when the bright lights come on.

Out back, the rodeo stock is relaxing in the shade.

But just wait'll these guys explode out of the chute July 25.

The tougher the stock, the higher possibility for accumulated points toward national recognition and awards and qualifying for a slot in the coveted national and world championship titles in the professional rodeo events.

Wing Rodeo Company in Bogata, Texas, is again the stock of choice for the Kueckehlan Ranch Rodeo. Regarded by the rodeo profession as the standard by which all rodeo stock is measured, owner, breeder and trainer Jerald Smith has developed a breed of rodeo stock through genetic science to produce both bucking horses and fighting bulls on his ranch that have made rodeo history.

Several of the Wing Rodeo bulls and bucking horses have been honored by the professional rodeo organizations for their unique ability and stamina in the arena.

The Cowgirl Chicks will entertain the crowd with their high-speed precision drills, as well as their singing and dancing.
