On Saturday, June 21, 2008, the Creative Arts Center hosted their annual Adult Art Show and Contest with a presentation of awards followed by a beautiful reception attended by well over sixty guests.
Donna Finch Adams, noted art educator now teaching at Southeastern Oklahoma University and at Grayson County College, judged this year’s contest.
Winners of the 2008 competition were:
1st Place June Henrikson of Greenville, Texas for
her watercolor painting “Bicycles”
2nd Place Chris Cravens of Bonham, Texas for his
oil painting “Magnolia Trees & Honey Bees)
3rd Place Russ Russell of Caddo Mills, Texas for his
mixed media picture “Paper or Plastic”
In addition to the top three winners, there were eight Honorable Mention awards.
