Annabel Bewley

Bonham - Funeral services for Mrs. Annabel Bewley, age 87, of Bonham will be held at 2:00PM Friday, July 11, 2008 in Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham.  Officiating will be Rev. Morgan Malone.  Interment will follow in Arledge Ridge Cemetery near Bonham. 

Mrs. Bewley passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008 in Texoma Medical Center in Denison.  She was born on March 22, 1921 in Maysville, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late John Clem and Maude Mae Lam Edwards.  Mrs. Bewley was married to John Bewley on May 10, 1943 in Stephenville, Texas. 

Mrs. Bewley was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Bonham. She spent many years helping John operate and manage Bewley's Five & Dime.  She loved art and painting and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Bewley is survived by her Husband - John Bewley  of the home.  Sons - Mark Bewley of Bonham and John Bewley & wife Judy of Ocean Springs. Mississippi.  Daughter - Sue Simpson & husband Bret of Bonham.  7-Grandhildren - Dustin Bewley, Colt Bewley, Jordan Bewely, Jessica Dean, Josh Stetson, Meagan Simpson and James Simpson.  6-great grandchildren Samatha Stetson, Cameron Stetson, Dakota Bewley, Melissa Bewley, Harlan Bewley and Anna Bewley.  Several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Sister-in-law - Winnie Edwards of Dallas.  Preceded in death by brother- George Edwards and Sister - Grace Dennis.

Pallberers will be Dustin Bewley, Colt Bewely, James Simpson, Bret Simpson and Anthony Johnson. 

The family will receive friends from 7-8PM Thursday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
