Following a long struggle with a degenerative disease, Mary Ellen Hall, beloved wife of U.S. Representative Ralph Hall, died Wednesday morning, August 27, 2008. 

Mrs. Hall was at home with her husband by her side.

Mary Ellen Murphy Hall was born January 15, 1925 in Kemp, Texas.  She married Navy Lieutenant Ralph Hall on November 14, 1944 in Pensacola, Florida.

Family visitation will be Thursday, August 28 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Rockwall.  Dr. Joe Pool and Dr. Bruce Hargrave will conduct the services.

Mary Ellen Murphy Hall is survived by her husband, 14-term Congressman Ralph M. Hall of the 4th District of Texas; sons, Hamp and wife Jody, Brett and wife Karen, and Blake and wife Catherine; and five grandchildren.
