Paris -- A 7-0 ball game erupted into a 35-0 lead at halftime for North Lamar en route to a 49-12 win for the Panthers.

Both teams were very conservative on offense in the opening moments of the contest and North Lamar led 7-0 at the first buzzer, thanks to a 33-yard touchdown run by A.J. George.

Bonham took the kickoff and drove deep into Panther territory.  Josh Lawson picked up a first down at the North Lamar 34-yard line.  J.T. Givens popped through a nice hole up the middle and the Warriors had a first-and-10 at the Panther 11-yard line.  North Lamar was offsides on the next play, making it first-and-five at the eight-yard line.  Lawson slammed straight ahead for three yards.  But, on the following play, Bonham turned the ball over on a fumble.

Everything changed when North Lamar went to the air in the second period.  Panther quarterback Cody Sellers hooked up with Harrison Murphy for three touchdowns in the second stanza and Sellers also had a TD strike to Adrian Rucker.  The Panthers took a 35-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Bonham got on the scoreboard when Givens blasted in from five yards out with just under four minutes remaining in the third period, however North Lamar's Terrell Bush returned the following kickoff 72 yards to pay dirt and the Panthers had a 42-6 advantage entering the fourth quarter.

On the first play of the final period, Sellers lofted a screen pass to George in the left flats and he followed his blockers 21 yards to the end zone, giving the Panthers a 49-6 victory.

North Lamar is now 2-1 in District 10-3A, while the loss drops Bonham to 1-2.  The Warriors will face another tough foe from Lamar County next week when the district-leading Paris Wildcats travel to Bonham.
