Madill - The square in Madill, Oklahoma  is usually the center of activity in the area, but, starting Monday, the pace will really pick up.  The National Sand Bass Festival will bring carnival rides, craftwork, food and music to downtown Madill through June 7.

Originating back in 1963, the National Sand Bass Festival is celebrating its fortieth anniversary and this should be another interesting event, culmination with a performance by Doug Stone on Saturday.  A golf scramble on Sunday closes out the week of fun.

This festival doesn’t start up until the evening, with booths opening up at 5:30 p.m.  The stage will be the focus and Vince Vance and the Valliants rolling into town on Thursday for an 8:30 performance.  Chalee Tennison takes over on Friday and Doug Stone headlines Saturday night.  There will also be a Talent Search finals at 7:00 on Tuesday night.  All of these concerts are free.
