Bonham, Texas -- Graveside services for James Leighton “Bub” Blasingame, age 61, of Bonham, will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in Dodd City Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Chaplain Don Parker will officiate.  Bub passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Paris HealthCare Center.

Bub was born March 17, 1948 in Bonham, Texas, the son of James Lee Blasingame and Myra A. Hester Blasingame.   He attended Dodd City High School and served his country in the US Navy.  Bub was a member of Dodd City Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sylvia Brown and Margaret Vacca. 

He is survived by ~

Daughter:  Shari Dill of Tom Bean

3 Sisters:  Brenda Snow and Sharen Banker and husband, Jackie, all of Bonham; Karen Day of Dallas

2 Grandchildren:  Sarah Beth Higgs and Jacob Alan Higgs

Nephews and Niece:  Lee Banker and wife, Heather, Steven Banker, Kristina  Parker and Troy Snow

Great nieces and nephews:  Chabon Williamson, Melody Williamson, James Banker, Lucas Banker, Lyndsey Snyder and Joey Snyder.  

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday.
