The Friends of Sam Rayburn will be honoring Robert Weddle with the HG Dulaney Public Service Award at their Annual Awards Banquet, Thursday, October 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Heritage Gardens in Bonham.

The program will feature newly appointed State Historian Dr. Light Cummins, as well as a special tribute to the late H.G. Dulaney by Dr. Tony Champagne.

Individual tickets are $50 each and seating is limited.  Several local companies, including Cole Title, Fannin Bank and Elite Printing, have pledged their support and the opportunity is still available for others interested in a corporate sponsorship.

Robert Weddle and the late H.G. Dulaney visit at the Sam Rayburn Library's last exhibit opening.

The Friends of Rayburn is a non-profit corporation that supports the Sam Rayburn House and the Sam Rayburn Library as they preserve and promote the legacy of Speaker Rayburn.  Proceeds from the annual banquet directly fund programs and projects at the two museums.

Contributions to the Friends are tax deductible.
