Dr. Douglas McMillan named Southeastern Oklahoma State University Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs

DURANT, Okla. --­ Dr. Douglas McMillan has been appointed Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

"Dr. McMillan's responsibilities will include providing leadership and coordination of the entire academic enterprise," said Southeastern interim president Larry Minks. "He has a wealth of experience, and served in a similar capacity at the University in 2007."

 McMillan joined the University in 1990 as Assistant Professor of Psychology and Counseling. In addition to his new position, McMillan will maintain his current duties as Vice President for Educational Outreach.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Midwestern State University, a masteršs from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University.

McMillan and his wife Delia are the parents of three children, one of whom attends Southeastern, and have two grandchildren.
