Bonham -- The crowd lining the streets in historic downtown Bonham Friday evening got eactly what they came to see as the 2009 Bonham Chamber Christmas Parade turned out to be another spectacular success.
With State Representative Larry Phillips announcing each parade entry as it passed by the review stand, and Bob Self and Barbara Reeves broadcasting the event on KFYN for those not fortunate enough to attend, the 2009 Bonham Chamber Christmas Parade entertained near and far.
The parade provided a wide assortment of floats, horses of all sizes, shiny classic cars and one very bright red Farmall tractor. Bonham High School was well represented with the marching band and drill team entertaining the crowd.
As soon as the final float passed by, the majority of the crowd walked one block to the art sale at Creative Arts Center. Guests enjoyed refreshments as they shopped. That gave Santa just enough time to talk to all the boys and girls in the Creative Arts Center garden.
