Gober, Texas -- Graveside services for William Dayton “Dub” Pruitt, 79, of Gober, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 in Arledge Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home.  Wendyl Presley will officiate.  Dub passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Bonham Nursing Center.

 

Dub was born May 24, 1930 in Ivanhoe, Texas, the son of Carl McKinnley Pruitt and Ada Lou Lowrey Pruitt.  He attended the electrical school at Texas A&M University and was a lineman and electrician for Fannin County Electric Co-Op for 37 years.  Dub married Dorothy Marie Galbreath. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, George Allen Heath and two brothers.

Wife:  Dorothy Marie Pruitt of Gober

2 Sons:  James Eldon Pruitt and wife, Lillian of Gober

            Elvin Heath and wife, Peggy of Ravenna

3 Daughters:  Judy Lewis and husband, Claude of Ravenna

            Peggy McCraw and husband, Ronny of Carrollton

            Violet Heath of Bonham

13 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
