Ladonia -- In 1964, the Beatles landed at JFK Airport in New York City launching Beatlemania in the U.S., an up-and-coming band called the Rolling Stones released their first album and Lyndon Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater in the presidential election.
1964 was also the first year of the annual Ladonia Rodeo.
A lot of things have changed over the past 46 years, but Texans' fondness for the thrills and spills of the sport of rodeo has stood the test of time.
Rodeo fans from across North Texas will soon be making their way to the Eastman Arena in Ladonia, Texas for the 45th Annual Ladonia Rodeo.
Established in 1964, the Ladonia Rodeo is certified by UPRA and CRRA.
The Ladonia Rodeo will begin Thursday, July 8 and run through Saturday, July 11.
This popular rodeo will begin each evening at 8:30 p.m.
