Woodmoore Assisted Living invites you to enjoy the music of a very impressive group of musicians when the Bois D’Arc Dixieland Band comes to Bonham for a concert Saturday, July 3 at 2:00 p.m.
 
Woodmoore Assisted Living is located at 1200 West Russell Avenue in Bonham, Texas.

A lot of music fans in the Bonham area are already familiar with this remarkable band. 

Bois d’ Arc Dixieland Band

The Bois D’Arc Dixieland Band entertains every year at Woodmoore Assisted Living and this past spring the band put on a great show at the Creative Arts Center's Cochon de Lait.

Bonham native J. Russell Armstrong is a founding member of the band and plays tenor banjo and sings. Russell is a Certified Financial Planner™ and owner of AIS Financial, a Comprehensive Financial Planning and Investment Firm located in Commerce, Texas (www.jrussellarmstrong.com).

Another familiar name in this band is drummer, Bob Deuell -- better known as State Senator Bob Deuell as well as Dr. Deuell because he is Board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and a a partner in Primary Care Associates of Greenville.

As a percussionist, Senator Deuell has provided the beat for remarkable guitarists Charlie Byrd and Roy Buchanan, in addition to legendary entertainers Tom Jones and Ike & Tina Turner.

The definitive sound of Dixieland jazz calls for outstanding musicians on trumpet, clarinet and trombone.  The Bois D’Arc Dixieland Band has three of the best, with Kelley Fletcher on trumpet, James Deaton playing the clarinet and Dick Eckstein on trombone.  Ben Scarborough, a very capable bassist, rounds out the regular line-up of Bois D’Arc Dixieland Band.
