Tom Bean FFA plans for a new agricultural barn have been put into place. Construction began after Labor Day to replace the one that burned in February, 2010. Creative Iron Works was awarded the bid of $99,868.00. The Ag facility will include an 80 x 80 building that will house twenty-eight pens for livestock and includes a wash bay with a 20 x 60 show ring.
Changes from the old building will allow better flexibility: including lockable storage feed bins, an outside area for the livestock, and better environmental controls. The building will expand the program through more economical use. This includes better security lighting, adequate use of space, and housing more animals and storage.
Completion of the building is anticipated for the end of November. There will be an Open House to view the facility upon completion.
