North Texas Regional Airport (GYI) and Lake Texoma Jet Center http://www.texomajet.com/ are thrilled to announce the completion of the new AvGas self-serve fueling system.

This project has been underway for several months and is a group project between the Airport Board Authority and Lake Texoma Jet Center

"This is a very good example of public/private partnership between the businesses located at North Texas Regional Airport and the leadership in Grayson County," said George Schuler of Schuler Development. "We intend to make this a major airport in North Texas."

The availability of self-serve AvGas will be an added value for both the airport and general aviation.

"This new self-serve fueling system is a small step, but it is an important step," Schuler noted.

Paul Ferroni, FBO Operations Manager at Lake Texoma Jet Center described the system as "very simple, very intuitive."

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday, October 28 to celebrate the new service at North Texas Regional Airport.  In attendance were Airport Manager, Mike Shahan; Rear Admiral William Retz; the Airport Authority Board Members; Lake Texoma Jet Center Management Team; L-3, Mark Blackburn; Schuler Development, George Schuler; and several local aircraft owners.
