Telephone, Texas -- Jim Newton of Telephone, Texas formerly of Ector, Texas passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010 in Presbyterian Health Care WNJ in Sherman, Texas.
Jim was the son of Vernon E. Newton and Mary Ruth Sikes Newton. He is survived by son Jimmy Newton of Krum, sister Bettye Sloan of Garland, brother Vernon E. Newton, Jr. of Terrell and grandchildren Misty & Matt Foster and Olivia & Sophia Foster. He was preceded in death by son Matt Newton and brother Robert Newton.
Funeral services will be at 2:pm Sunday at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery in Leonard, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Saturday at Mullican-Little Funeral Home.
