Four L.H. Rather Junior High School Band twirlers competed in the Vicki Bowden Mobbs Majorette and Flag Line Classic held at Kilgore College on Saturday, November 6, 2010.

The twirling quartet, comprised of Rylee Barnes, Bailey Horn, Jerika Compton, and Brittania Hernandez, earned a Division I (Superior) rating for their performance to "Power Station" and a second Division I rating for their performance to "Rock It."

"I'm very proud of how well our twirlers performed at their contest," said L.H. Rather band director Stephen Morgan.  "For them to earn straight ones is extremely good!"

Morgan went on to add that this is only the second year that the Rather band has had a twirling line and that two of this year's twirlers are 7th graders.
