BONHAM – Gerald Dee Cason,  88-year-old Bonham resident, died at Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center in Bonham on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. 

Mr. Cason was born September 28, 1923 in Stephenville, Texas to parents, Sidney Cason and Mary Ressie (Howard) Cason.  He married Lettie F. Taylor in June 1982.  Gerald attended schools in Fort Worth, served his country in the Air Force-Army from 1942 until 1945, and was a retired Carpenter.

Mr. Cason is survived by daughter, Debbie Billings and husband Derl of Waco, Texas; sister, Cleo Steel of Fresno, California; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; several brothers and his son Calvin Cason.

Graveside services for Mr. Cason will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells with Brother Houston Garner officiating.  Visitation with friends will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 19 at the home of his granddaughter, Robin Allen at 204 E. Fowler St., Savoy, TX.

Those who will serve as pallbearers are; Dennis Julius, Billy Carroll, Reecy Allen, Lane Allen, Derl Billings and Colten Yates.
