Bonham, Texas -- Mrs. Edith Trout, 87, was called home to her Lord and Savior Monday December 5, 2011 at The Woodmoore Assisted Living facility.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday December 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Bonham, TX, with Bro. Joe Fowler and Bro. Morgan Malone officiating. 

Serving as pallbearers are Daryl Turner, Ben Priester, Jimmy Green, Jeff Oldacre, Cory Green and Johnny Babers.  Honorary bearers are Ray Smith, John Snead, Bill Beasely and Robert Turbyfill. 

Interment will follow at Gober Cemetery, Gober, TX.   Family visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m., Friday December 9, 2011 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home, Bonham, TX.

Edith (Turner) Trout was born in Gober, TX February 12, 1924 to William David and Elsie Beatrice (Woodson) Turner.  She married Zealous Wayne Trout in Fannin county on April 8, 1944.  He preceded her in death July 5, 2009.  Mrs. Trout was an educator for 30 years teaching Home Economics and Music at Gober, Celeste, and Bonham schools.  She received her degree from East Texas State Teachers College.  She was the pianist for First Baptist Church, Gober for many years.

Mrs. Trout is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gaitha and Bob Castleman of Richardson, TX; son and daughter-in-law, David and Jennifer Trout of Bonham, TX.  She is also survived by grandchildren Lainie Collins and husband Shane of McKinney, TX, Taylor Bua and husband Tony of McKinney; sister Martha Priester and husband Charles of Greenville, TN.  She was preceded in death by her husband Zealous Trout;  and brother Bobby Turner.

Mrs. Trout was a joy and gift to all that knew her.  She adored all of her family and grandchildren.
