Boles Hornets edge Honey Grove in double overtime

Celeste -- Twice during the first half, the Honey Grove Warriors pulled out to a 10-point lead, but the Boles Hornets refused to go away.  It took two overtime periods to finally pry these two competitive teams apart with Boles finally coming out on top, 78-73, in double OT.

Honey Grove had a 21-13 advantage after the opening period and the Warriors took a 34-28 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Honey Grove was up 48-46 going into the fourth quarter, however the teams were all knotted up at 60-60 at the end of regulation. The scoreboard read 70-70 after the first overtime, but Boles outscored Honey Grove 8-3 in the second overtime to earn a 78-73 victory.

Cody Joyce finished with 24 points to lead Honey Grove, Charles Sanders and Jeremy Patt both pitched in 13 points,  Hussian Jabai put in 10 points, Demontrae Finney scored seven, Cam Brooks finished with four points and Aaron Foster had two points.

Boles freshman Joshua Monroe led all scorers with 25 points.
